The Peace River Basin Service Unit (PRBSU) is the group of five (5) Counties: Desoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, and Highlands, located in South Central Florida.  There is a Service Unit Director, Dr. Jim Demchak and an Associate, Ms. Lori Melton supporting the five counties for membership, negotiations, advocacy, and member benefits to name a few. 2025: All 5 Counties teacher locals are celebrating 50 years as a Union.
